A pitbull was in his backyard in southern California, minding his own business….until this porcupine invaded his territory. The brave, but 
stupid pitbull, immediately challenged the porcupine! Bad decision…the porcupine won this short contest.
A vet sedated the dog, and then removed a total of 1,347 quills. The dog survived, and hopefully learned a valuable lesson.

Ouch that is horrible but of course just because something is smaller and seems like less of a threat doesn’t mean your going to be the automatic winner. You should always always watch for the smaller guy he might just have a trick up his sleeve or maybe just a few spikes.

Haha reading this article made me think of my trouble-making golden retriever! Hope he sticks to picking on birds and squirrels and leaves the nastier animals alone!
Poor dog…haha…looks just like our american bulldog (he always gets a bad rap for looking like a pitbull!!!). I liked the point made above about looking out for the little guy…great insight.

Aw, poor dog. That must have hurt. I would never come near a porcupine though, but dogs aren’t that smart.

Wow! that is a lot of quills! I can’t believe the dog kept attacking the porcupine long enough to have that many quills stuck in him. I guess he would make a good guard dog

That reminded me of the movie Homeward Bound where Chance got stuck by a porcupine and Sassy the cat had to remove the quills. haha.
Dogs arent that smart? Bullshit. If you raise them right because i have known dogs that are smarter than some of the people i have met.

Is this animal cruelty or what some would consider neglect. I guess it is all on how you look at it. I bet if it was Vince Young’s dog he would be sitting next to Michael Vick…lol
