Hank’s First Wix Mashup + Woopra

wix_logo A blurb on www.wix.com ran in the 4/25/08 TechCrunch here. I applied for closed beta access and got it 4/26/08. My first Wix is below. The stuff you can do with it is pretty nifty. I’ll have to go back to Sproutbuilder and see what’s going on with it. I was also recently granted access to the analytical site Woopra woopra and am running it on the blog as we speak. Just below is a GreekBriefTV video on Woopra, then my first Wix mashup. Life IS good! Hank

I like this app but it seems like everything is being run in Linx. Am I that far behind that I am the only person using XP still… I already have a DELL to make it worst. [Hank says - Linux has nothing to do with the Wix app. I actually started it on a XP laptop, and made some tweaks on our iMac. All you need is a browser. The result is flash-based.]

Wix.com is a very interesting find. It is very active and animated and seems to have quite a bit of content. I think it is definitely a site that you might look in to if you are looking for colorful websites or designs. There was also a lot for the non-business owner.

This is really cool Hank! (Pictures are amazing haha) But I don’t know about the woopra thing. It sounds really cool, but I’m just not up with technology to actually be able to use that.

It’s awesome. Hank I must admit, it’s worth reading your blog regularly, even if ENTR200 classes are over :)

That Wix design tool is pretty cool. I could see it being successful once it is developed beyond the Beta stage since it seems to be fairly simple to use. It could be especially useful for small businesses hoping to save money on their website design, since they would not have to hire expensive outside help.
