That is amazing. If that car truly has the horsepower and top speed that he said it does then that is incredible. I could definitely see cars like that on the road, as long as they developed ones that are not as pricey.

  2. 2 Brian Lee

Very cool, the fact that it has such a high top speed is surprising. Hopefully I see cars like those on the road soon.

  3. 3 John Heritage

If they really can do what they say they can then I believe that people will be more embracing of them and will really get into supporting the projects. I’m optimistic about seeing these cars around eventually.

That car is very cool. It will definitely save a lot of gas because all cars with a lot of horsepower consume a lot of gas. Normally cars with that much horsepower will consume a lot of gas. By purchasing this car you are able to not pay for gas and ride a sport car. The price I believe is not that much. Design isn’t that bad. I would definitely purchase this car if the car didn’t look like the way it did.

Electric cars are all around a great idea. They are efficient, powerful, quiet, and good for the environment.

This is a great idea! However, I wish it was embedded in a vehicle I could actually buy! Richard mentioned that they have brought it down to a price range that makes sense for people. I want to know WHO he is talking about here (later stated the $100,000 market). Clearly it’s not for your average American. I’m not so sure about the practicality of it needing to charge for 48 hours. You’d have to have a back up car on hand as well. I’m sure you would have to have a vehicle or two available while you were charging your electric car. However, if you were able to afford this car in the first place, this is probably NOT an issue!

The technology has been developed day by day lately. Although it is a hybrid-car, it runs like the fuel-engine car. However, it’s a bit pricey but i would have bought it if I have over hundred thousand dollar. The car is also tight as well.

Anyone ever heard of the Tesla Roadster? This is exactly what i thought of when i read the caption. They already have a similiar car like this out. It maybe not as powerful but definitely along the same lines. I think the Tesla looks better though. It excites me that more and more companies are using the electric technology and applying it to high performance cars. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tesla_Roadster

I think this is an excellent idea! Its unbelievable that an electric car can have a 650hp engine and 170mph top speed. Coming to the price, this car is not for the average american. This car is for those people who have the money and want a good looking car with great hp and who also wanna save the environment…! The charging time is way too much as mentioned by ElisaQuick323…You would have to have a backup car…n then u cant really travel with this car for long distances for long durations. If u r gonna travel to Detroit and hang around there for a week or so…u cannot have the time to charge the car each time for 48 hrs!!
Overall, I wud think over it b4 buying this car even if i had $100,000!

First off, it charges in 4 to 8 hours, NOT 48. Second, this is not a big deal. It should not be shocking that this car can do what it can. 170mph out of an electric motor should not be difficult, they make ungodly amounts of torque. This is also not the only car they make. And the way new technology is introduced into the market is usually by the “trickle down” effect. They will charge a premium for it in the beginning and it will eventually trickle down to all of their lines. This is because people NEVER look at what they NEED or even what THEY want. They look at what the people around them have and what people with money have. Its called Luxury Fever. As soon as the rich and famous have it, every one else will envy it and it will get market penetration. So making the premium models is a good way to initiate that demand.

Wow.. Nice car..,, i like it..

It is a nice hybrid version and I guess these cars might be costing alot right now but would lower down down in the near future.. Its all about Demand and Supply..

We are on the verge of extinction of crude oil… So things like these are quite obvious to come up. Right now, We are having big refueling stations… So,, there’s a possibility that we might see car battery chargers places at each and every corner of the city so that we can travel any where without thinking that this car could be a hassle…

Wow,, I just suggested a nice idea… Its a good opportunity to establish a business in….ha ha!!

We can make money in future with this…,,:d

I don’t doubt it’s less expensive than gas prices- but what is the cost on charging a car with your electricity?
and if hybrids become the next huge thing that everyone gets, will they start installing outlets at gas stations that charge?
is there any way of lessening the charge time?
    im full of questions

  13. 13 Rick Schuman

Yeah, that’s a freakin’ nice car. Lithium ion batteries are the way to go. Unfortunately, I have to say, that despite technologies like this, we won’t be getting rid of crude oil for a while, especially once the cars themselves get a lot cheaper. But, like Ben said, once it makes its way into the market I think people will find it pretty useful. Too bad it can’t make an Indiana-North Carolina trip on one charge.

  14. 14 Chris Jones

This car does sound like a great idea. The company has great potential; I was more interested in the taxi; it sounds like they’ve come up with a perfect car and has the potential to make a TON of money for this company–drivers spend a huge amount of money on gas, and like he said, $1.80 a shift is MUCH better than anything you can get with gas.

  15. 15 mtlehman

Now these are the cars that are worth the anticipation. As the development of the final product increases, the prices of the vehicles are certain to decrease. Hopefully in potential years these products will revolutionize the auto-making industry. Finally, a product that’s worthwhile.

  16. 16 Julia Johns

It all seems like a great idea! I do not understand the “car lingo” very well, but it seems like an awesome product!

  17. 17 Savannah Englert

This is a great idea and sounds like an awesome investment. From the looks of the video, the car is gorgeous. WAY to expensive for someone with the average income but if they could find a way to make cars like this available for “average” people, I think you would see them everywhere!

  18. 18 K. Tsai

Wow that’s impressive. Hybrid technology has been a while, and it’s slowly becoming affordable. It’s nice to see how the whole world is becoming “green”. Nobody can turn down an environmentally friendly car, especially when it saves them money!

  19. 19 Steven Gazanfari

It is amazing to see what can be done with development. A decade ago a hybrid car was something out of a science fiction movie, now they can make them just as powerful as cars that use combustibles for fuel. Now it isnt such a farfetched idea to see why hybrids will take over.

  20. 20 Sunxiaochen

This is a different approach than the Japanese car companies. Zero emission on all vehicles is brilliant, and should be an interesting thing to follow up on. Also, the stock market for this company should be a smart and wise investment.

  21. 21 mallory govert

if this were the case, there is no reason we shouldn’t have these everywhere. this was truly amazing - at least it took me by surprise.

  22. 22 Michelle Tuccori

With everyone supporting this “Go Green” I believe that Hybrid Technology is really starting to advance. With these advancements and the timing, more people are jumping on the bandwagon especailly with its affordable price!

  23. 23 Kyle Conley

This car is incredible! The batteries giving an equivalent horsepower of 650 with a top speed of 170 is crazy. I’d like to see this technology go more mainstream. This is a great way to cut down on our foreign dependencies on gasoline and combat the dilemma against global warming. I hope someday, this future concept will replace the car’s which are on the road presently today.
