This is a cool idea, meeting entrepreneurs is one of the best ways to learn about creating and managing your own business. I definitely would’ve been interested in going if it wasn’t during my key classes.
I definitely agree with Brian. It is very important to listen to what the entrepreneurs have to say. You can learn a lot of things because they have already gone out and tried to make their own businesses. They can tell us what has worked out for them and what has not. We as freshmen’s need to soak in as much information about entrepreneurs as we possibly can.
I will definitely be there. This is a great oppurtunity to meet people who have already taken the critical steps of starting their own company. We can learn a lot from these entrepreneurs.
I’d be there if I wasn’t at class.
This is a great opportunity to meet entrepreneurs and learn from their mistakes as well as gain essential knowledge that has made them successful. However, I agree with Lauren. The fact that I have four classes on that day, takes away from the experience. Maybe a Saturday afternoon would better benefit the majority of college students.
Darn classes.
Sounds like a great opportunity but just like a few others classes seem to be getting in my way this time.
I have some classes in the way… Sorry…
It definitely seems like a legit opportunity and well worth going but i have the same schedule conflicts as other students.
Do we meet with all the entrepreneur’s, or can we can filter them down to a specific type of company, like computer interfaces/engineering. Basically, when we interface to get connections for a job, are we just meeting the entrepreneurs with our preferable job? [Basically yes, you can "filter."]
this looks really interesting. i agree with brian that its a great way to learn about new things, and get to know the things you need to know from other entrepreneurs.
Sounds like a great opportunity but the timing is poor for students who can’t miss classes.
Simply put; great opportunity!
Is this like a job fair? I am interested in this, but I don’t know very much about it. I need an internship for the summer, would this be a place to find one? [Yes it would. Hank]
I would love to do this but unfortunately I have class…….I wish they had made this on a weekend……….
This is a really neat idea. However, I also have class on Wednesdays.
Class, class, class. Sigh…
This sounds like a great and worthwhile event. I would attend if I were able too! It’s a great way to become familar with local entrepreneurs which is of course always a plus.
If a were a junior or senior I would definitely consider going to this. Since I am only a sophomore I am not sure if this would be beneficial enough for me to skip all my classes! Maybe next year:(
it’s nice to know we have opportunities like this.
That is a great opportunity to get your name out there and create some key networking. It’s right there for the taking to line up a job. I wish I had time that day to go, but my busy schedule couldn’t allow me too.
