This is one of the reasons I hate storms. Yeah, it looks cool, until it hits your next door neighbor’s tree and the gas line underneath it, causing a small fire that won’t go out and that firemen can do nothing about for several hours.
That and the accompanying thunder freaks me out. Plus I hate rain. I’m just not a storm person.

I love storms, but I always think of this one story I heard when i was younger about a guy jogging in a nylon jumpsuit… hit by lightning and the nylon melted to his skin. That would suck.

Great photographs. Despite all human accomplishments, the power of nature always shows how small humans really are.

Those are pretty sweet. Each one of those would make an awesome background. I’m also a storm person. Probably because as a kid my family and I would sit on the porch and watch them.

Yeah great pics! I also like to watch storms. One night as a kid I laughed all night when I watched lightning split a tree in my front yard causing half to land on top of my parents Ford Bronco.

This are some amazing shots. I wonder how long it look these people (or how many rolls of film) to finally get the perfect lightning shots. Watching lightning over the ocean is pretty sweet. A couple years back, our hotel was right on the beach and we watched a storm one night over the ocean. Some of the pictures in the slides that dealt with that reminded me of that.

First of all, kudos to the photographers who actually were brave enough to go outside during these storms (I’d be cowering on my couch). These shots are amazing! Secondly, I’m a big fan of storms but being from WI and moving to IN am absolutely terrified with all the tornado watches and warnings this state gets (we don’t get many huge tornadoes in WI). Storms = cool, Tornadoes = not so cool + scary

Those are some pretty amazing shots. Some of them are so unbelievable that they look like they might have been made. It must be fun to spend a day doing nothing but capturing these amazing pictures, I would love to have been doing something like that for a living.

Hey so if you guys would actually post to each other, that would totally be the real meaning of a blog! It’s like so totally interesting to read the same regurgitated crap over and over again! Yay bonus points for pretending to care!
