ENTR200 Purdue University Spring 2010 Concepts
Posted on February 28th, 2010 31 commentsEvery semester, students in ENTR200 @ Purdue University are required to formulate Concept Statements for a new business they will subsequently flesh out into a full business proposal for micro-funding from Charles River Ventures. Below is what freshman-seniors submitted – might take a minute to load – Zoho is slow. As Fox News states, we report, you decide. Hank

I like group number 7 idea. I’m always hungry at night and would pay for fast food delivery

This was a fun project. Brainstorming new ideas is always interesting and no one never knows where it might lead to.
Go group 7!!!!!

Love the GrassRoots name & concept!
Group #1 in 10:30, GREAT NAME! I have heard the concept before, but it does not exist in this area, I think it’s a great idea. And obviously, group #3 in 10:30 (aka my group), brilliant idea, you guys are destined for success.
p.s. I think Fox needs a new tagline, they engage in a lot more deciding than reporting. -
The idea of healthy fast food is awesome. I would love a real fast food chain to do that. Something cheap, fast, tasty, and healthy. Is that even possible??

It’ll be a lot of fun to see what different ideas groups come up with. It would be cool for some to be able to really take their ideas to the next level and develop them!

I really like the combo washer and dryer that group 3 came up with in the 9:30 class. Even though it’s not too challenging of a task to switch clothes from the washer to the dryer, this idea would still be beneficial. By having a “two in one” deal, people could save time doing laundry. In addition, they wouldn’t have to worry about switching loads at a certain time. I would buy one of these if I had sufficient funds.

There’s a few delivery service ideas that sound cool but I have no idea how they would make money. Great idea if they could make it work though.

I’d like to know more in detail what QuickFlavor is about. Sounds interesting.

combo wash dry is definately the best idea on here. But It has either been thought of before, or its an engineering nightmare, I cant remember why there wasn’t one already.

“Social Suppliers” 1030 class group 4, we almost decided to use the same idea. Glad we didn’t now. Good luck!

I can’t wait to see some of these business ideas come to life. Working on this project will certainly be enjoyable.

A little dissappointed that Group 3 had a similar idea to our idea (Group 9). It is a little different though, because ours is targeted more towards travelers, business offices, etc.

I liked the combo-washer/dryer idea. It seems that this would be a hit and would save space/time/money depending on the size and price of one. I would probably buy one for my future house if they worked well enough.

I like seeing all of the other groups ideas. Some of the ideas seem pretty close to businesses that already exist. I’m interested to see how they set themselves apart from the competition.

I liked this assignment, and I like how the ideas were posted for everyone to see and generate new ideas and innovations.

group 1 has a pretty neat idea if i do say so myself…

All these ideas seem to be very appealing to me. It is just a matter of making these ideas reality. As far as fast food(Team #7), it is very easy to target the market of late night food orders for college students and etc. People are willing to pay good money for convenience and that will definately get out to a fair amount of people.

I love the social supplier idea, I could see it used often at colleges, especially when its freezing out like in Indiana.

Some of these videos turned out awesome, and I actually liked doing the interview a lot more than I expected.

It is so neat to see how many different ideas and concepts come up every year. It is also neat to think that one or more of these ideas could be profitable business plans.

These are great ideas! I like Team 9 the best of the 10:30pm class! I might be biased though!
