That’s a very interesting idea. If I were still living in the dorms, I would certainly consider buying some of these products and selling them at a considerable markup. Might be a little shady (can’t really think of the term for this), but as long as there’s nothing illegal about it, it would have the potential to be a legit business.

Definitely a solid website to shop at. Also, Hank is right, there is a great opportunity for aspiring entrepreneurs to get their first business going by ordering bulk amounts of highly sought items such as USB drives and sell them at a mark up here in the states. Hank’s always thinking about how to make money—smart guy.

I think that China is the best place for mass production because labor is so much cheaper than here in the United States.

Jack Ma really does seem like an amazing guy. I really do plan on reading up more about this guy because I would like to know the ins and outs of how he became so successful. If you ask me, it’s crazy to see how people just have these little ideas, then it ends up turning into this massive international product that sweeps the world. It just amazes me.

Jack Ma seems like a very interesting, creative person that really took his ideas and made a name for himself. If anyone is starting to get their business rolling, this would be the man to talk to. When it comes down to producing products that can be replicated, it really relies on the creativity behind it to make a difference in the market place.

I think that it is incredible to see a company of this nature. I think that often times, we are so “googleized” that we often forget that their are other giants internationally. And with the 30 million that alibaba is investing in global markets, it might just be the next great company.

I am really impressed with the whole idea of alibaba. It is perfect for small manufacturers who want to go international and don’t have enough funds for marketing etc.

interesting, but your still a salesman at the end of the day…nothing more. nothing creative like the guy who invented pancake batter in a can. heck the pet rock was more creative than reselling cheap chinese products

I’m not sure if this is truly entrepreneurial. If you were to simply resell items you buy from this mass distributor you are simply just reselling. The service is nothing new and has no innovative aspects. Yes it could be a viable way to make some extra cash but I do not believe it should be considered a entrepreneurial venture.

Alibaba.com seems like a great website for upcoming entrepreneurs. It seems though that there are too many pointless products.
